Bookings

A deposit of $500-00 is required within 14 days of booking.  Balance of payment due 2 weeks prior to arrival to maintain the booking.

Upon Arrival

Arrival is after 2pm unless otherwise arranged with owners.  The caretaker lives locally.  If you require the freezers on prior to your arrival, please enquire.

Upon Departure

Departure is by 9am to allow the house to be prepared for the next group of visitors.  A later departure time may be arranged with owner if no new guests are arriving that day.

Cleaning

Cleaning is no long do it yourself due to Covid requirements.  The caretaker will clean after your departure $400-00 (paid directly to the caretaker upon arrival) This is non-negotiable and is reflected in your booking invoice. Please note caretakers/cleaners are like gold at Orchid Beach and as such please don’t abuse the fact that they come in after your departure to inspect & clean what’s required.  The alternative is we close bookings.

It is expected that you carry out normal cleaning of house as you would at home and keep house in a clean state.

Should the house be left in an unkept state and requires undue cleaning please expect additional costs to be incurred.

However, you are required to –

Clean BBQ and area

Clean Offal/blood & excess ice from Bait chest Freezer in laundry & turn off.

Ensure all garbage bins are emptied/cleaned & rubbish is removed from property prior to your departure.

General Housekeeping

Pegs supplied for your convenience, please do not leave outside, return to laundry.

Dining room chairs are for inside use only.  Outside use garden chairs supplied

Smokers ~ Whilst we respect you decision to smoke, don’t throw your butts on the ground or smoke inside the house.  If butts have to be cleaned up off the lawn or any odour of smoke in the house results in additional cleaning to remove odours an account for the clean-up will be sent.

Beds – No swags/sleeping bags directly on quilt.  You must use a sheet on bed first.  If it’s found that sheets have not been used a laundering fee to wash Quilt will be issued.
